FIRST EDITION, SIGNED, PRESENTATION COPY. 8vo. dark blue cloth hardback with gilt titles and pale grey decoration to spine and upper board. 220pp. plus 16pp. Publisher's advertisements. Illustrated with 2 b/w plates (one of the Author as a German Governess, and the other as a Hungarian Mechanic) and 2 plans. Author's presentation inscription to blank facing title page reads "With a thousand thanks for your brilliant idea for a sequel, from the grateful author Francis Yeats Brown, January 16, 1920". Modern bookplate and ink signature, dated 1971, to ffep. Occasional light foxing, heavier to prelims and untrimmed foredge. Gilt titles to spine somewhat dulled but still legible. Slight wrinkling of cloth to spine and lower board and light wear to top and base of spine. A GOOD+ COPY.
