FIRST EDITION 8vo. blue/grey cloth hardback with pink titles and dark blue decorative monogram to upper board, in unclipped dust jacket by Rex Whistler. Decorative monograms in green to endpapers. 287pp., with charming full page and vignette illustrations by Rex Whistler. A clean copy with no markings or inscriptions. Occasional light foxing, mainly to prelims. Pink titles to cloth spine rather rubbed and faded. Couple of small spots of soiling also to spine. Dust jacket spine has been repaired on the reverse and has large closed tear where it joins the rear cover. Dust jacket spine slightly tanned with small loss to top and foot (please see photo). A few other small chips, closed tears and creases to edges. A VERY GOOD COPY in Good Dust Jacket.
